Tradition, enjoyment and mountain adventure

Lively customs and regional cuisine featuring many specialties make SalzburgerLand a land of culinary delights. The baroque city of Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, is definitely worth a visit. The old town, with its winding streets, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The imperial couple Franz Joseph I and his Sissi also used to vacation in the province of Salzburg. Mountain pioneers of the time opened up paths to the most beautiful peaks and built shelters. Many of these mountain huts have been converted and some of them can even be rented today at Almliesl.
