Sustainable alpine hut holiday in the Sölktäler Nature Park
One of the seven Styrian nature parks is located in the Niedere Tauern on the edge of the ski centre around Schladming and Sportwelt Amadé. The Sölktäler Nature Park, which covers around 288 km², is internationally renowned for its pristine landscapes, crystal-clear air and gentle green Alpine valleys that fascinate all friends of nature.
Also known beyond the borders is the crystalline subsoil with streaks of the white "Sölker Marble", which is responsible for the region's unique flora, among other things.
Your time out in a scenic jewel
Create precious memories of your special holiday in the green heart of Styria. The sensitive habitats of the nature park, between the magnificent limestone walls of the glaciated Dachstein and the countless massive mountain peaks, provide the setting for your holiday programme in nature. Choose between wonderful alpine hikes with culinary highlights at the serviced mountain huts or crisp summit tours that are rewarded with a dip in the cool waters of one of the 300 or so mountain lakes.
Alpine hut holidays in pure nature with a PLUS of comfort
Your holiday home is part of a small, idyllic hut community that has been established in the high-situated valley basin. Grazing livestock enjoys the surrounding lush alpine meadows, and fish ponds with their own wooden footbridge complete the heavenly view.
The two other alpine huts can also be booked through Almliesl: Almliesl SOEK-615 and Almliesl SOEK-714.
Your alpine hut meets all expectations of a comfortable mountain holiday.
Fragrant wood is the building material of the hut and dominates in all rooms, and its quality and attention to detail reflect the region’s impressive carpentry craftsmanship.
The highlights of your alpine hut:
- The spacious kitchen is equipped to a very high standard, and includes dishwasher, oven, and microwave.
- The living room with its picture-perfect fireplace is the heart of the hut. You can talk about the day's adventures and plan the next highlight of your holiday while the fire crackles in the fireplace.
- High-quality solid wood beds in the cosy bedrooms promise a good night’s sleep.
- There is a wellness shower with steam function in the modern bathroom.
Balmy summer evenings are perfect for firing up the barbecue and enjoying the unique surroundings while relaxing with campfire twist bread and sausages. Listen together to the sounds of nature, and guess which animals are in your neighbourhood. Deer, foxes, hares, ... you can spot them in the evening.
Make sure you also look up to the sky. Here you are in a special place that is largely free of "light pollution". The unobstructed night sky gives you a clear view of the Milky Way. What an experience!
Surrounded by nature and with the two ponds where you can try your luck at fishing, the children will feel like they are in paradise. Dear parents, show the kids what nature has to offer. But please don't forget that especially the youngest are magically attracted to water. Whether it's "sending ships on a journey", feeding fish or building a dam: We recommend a 24-hour water wings rule ;), and always keeping an eye on the kids.
TIP: The small Großsölk Castle was originally a resting and refreshment stop for sumpters on their way to the Sölk Pass. Six medieval castle rooms accommodate a permanent exhibition on the nature and history of the nature park.
