Alpine paradise for mountain fans & nature lovers
Are you looking for real time out in the mountains?
Here, at the end of the Rauris Valley in Kolm Saigurn at the foot of the mighty Sonnblick, you are surrounded by the unique natural beauty of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The alpine pasture area is considered pristine and authentic and visitors are overwhelmed by the flora and fauna. It is a privilege to spend the most beautiful time of the year here, between impressive glaciers and rushing waterfalls.
Surrounded by mountain beauty
Your holiday starts at an altitude of 1,742 metres. This means that you can start the most beautiful hiking and biking tours right outside your hut door, and that you also have already left your everyday life in the valley, with all its stress and hectic pace, behind you.
Your quaint alpine hut with its creaking terrace floorboards and sunburned façade is your place to unwind. It blends seamlessly into nature and provides a view of the mighty 3,000-metre-high peaks in the immediate vicinity: the Sonnblick, Schareck and Hocharn.
Your hut highlights:
- The freezing cold well in front of your hut cools your drinks to a perfect refreshing temperature.
- The pure nature outdoor shower and the earth closet provide a real feeling of freedom.
- It's really cosy in the beautiful living room.
- The wood burner provides cosy heat for the room and can also be used for cooking.
Your alpine pasture summer, between peacefully grazing cows and many a visit from timid wildlife or the famous marmots, will move you and will be unforgettable.
Fancy an alpine breakfast at the neighbouring serviced hut?
Within sight, about 150 m away, you will be warmly welcomed by your landlords, the Mayr family, at the front door of the serviced alpine hut. You can also spend your hut holiday here at the Almliesl RAUR-630.
You can book your meals for the duration of your holiday. You absolutely have to try the high-energy alpine breakfast. It will ensure that you will be able to climb the surrounding peaks without any problems. In addition, you will be treated to the best products from the farm and homemade delicacies.
This is pure enjoyment, but you should earn it with some exercise, e.g., in the Rauris primeval forest, an unforgettable nature experience with witnesses from the Ice Age.
Your family holiday on the alpine pasture
A summer just like it used to be. This nature and holiday region is a special experience for children. They discover the fun of being outdoors and the closeness to the alpine animals teaches respect. Mobile phones and computer games become irrelevant, and awareness of the here and now comes to the fore.
A great family excursion leads to the Rauriser Ache river for gold panning. The 17th and 18th centuries were the time of the gold panners. Even today there are still finds and prospectors of all ages like to try their luck.
Tip: Don't forget your binoculars, because there is a chance to see rare eagles circling. By the way: the owners know the best places for mushrooms and berries. They'll be happy to share their tips with you.
