Looking for gold in the Rauris Valley
The farmhouse is situated in Bucheben, approx. 7 km away from Rauris, a village in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The farm is over 150 years old. The wood-panelled walls in the rooms and hallways as well as the creaking wooden floors radiate a quaint, cosy atmosphere in the farmhouse. The view across the valley and the surrounding mountain world is stunning and unique.
The Rauris Valley in the Salzburger Land is one of the biggest municipalities in the National Park and is known as “hidden pearl of the Hohe Tauern National Park“. Not only eventful hiking tours to bearded vulture, golden eagle & co. are waiting in the Rauris Valley in summer, treasure hunters can experience many adventures at three gold panning places.
The Rauris Valley presents itself with pristine winter landscapes in the colder season. Enjoy your holiday away from the hustle and bustle. The small but beautiful ski resort is known as especially family-friendly. Winter hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring – all this is also possible here.
Our tip: Gold mining was the main activity in the Rauris Valley in the past. Today, treasure hunters of all ages try their luck here at three gold panning places. The “Könige der Lüfte“ National Park House is also worth a visit.
