Well prepared for your cabin vacation – energy supply explained simply
No power—what now?
The energy for lighting and appliances in the particularly rustic Almliesl huts is generated by gas and wood, but also by solar energy. Using gas-powered household appliances is not complicated, but we recommend that you read the instructions briefly before your vacation. Each Almliesl hut that is powered by alternative energy sources has its own hut book, which contains detailed descriptions of all appliances and connections. You will receive this hut book from us before your arrival. It is available in the hut and, of course, you can also study the details here on the website in the respective accommodation descriptions. In addition, we have taken a few pictures and videos for illustrative purposes.
How to replace the "glow socket" in lamps
The "glow sock" is extremely sensitive! Please take care not to touch the glow element.

Activating/deactivating the gas system
The main gas supply outside the hut is usually locked. The key is located inside the hut. This main supply is always activated and does not need to be switched on separately. If there is a problem, close all pipes and contact Almliesl. You will receive our number upon arrival or it can be found in the information provided in the hut.
Before using gas appliances (lamps, water heaters, gas cookers, etc.), open the main gas tap in the hut or on the gas cylinders, as well as the cylinder valve and the individual additional shut-off valves.
