The 40-km long Gasteinertal Valley has much to offer: the valley nestles between the high peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park, Italy to the south, and is surrounded by pristine nature and a healing environment. The Gasteinertal Valley is 40 km long, thus it is the longest of the Tauern valleys and offers many piste kilometres, relaxing thermal spas and a famous radon gallery with healing powers. There is also the magnificent mountain landscape which delights nature lovers, sportsmen and women and those seeking relaxation all year round.
Bad Gastein is also known as the “Monte Carlo of the Alps“. This reference is owed to the architecture and the former casino of the spa town. Bad Gastein also boasts a waterfall in the middle of the town and many multi-storey, picturesque houses in the style of the Belle Époque. The thermal springs in the mountains create a water fog which is beneficial to health, providing the town with a healthy climate and adding an extra portion of wellness for the guests.
