Thick walls, wood panels and solid wooden beams have carried this quaint hut through the seasons. The fully functional wood burner in the kitchen has as much museum character as the hand-painted cabinets and cupboards. The doors have handmade cast-iron ornaments and the walls are decorated with old farm items. However, the bathroom is new and leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to enjoying the comfort to which you are accustomed.
A holiday at this hut means focusing on what is most important
A wicker basket packed with wonderfully fresh, home-made farmhouse bread and organic eggs from the farm awaits you as a welcome gift. You can also choose to order further food products from the owners’ farm during your stay.
Large and small ski resorts are the perfect places for endless fun in winter
The ski resort in the Alpbachtal valley and Wildschönau is one of the top 10 ski resorts in the Tyrolean Lowlands. The family-friendly Markbachhoch / Lanerköpfl ski resort is the closest and is just 2 km away from your hut. A 40 km long cross-country ski track takes you through the landscape across Wildschönau.
Tip: The circular route on Kogel starts right outside the hut and the “Zur Grube“ and “Zauberwinkel“ huts are the perfect place to stop and enjoy a bite to eat. The lately opened "Drachental amusement park" is surely also worth a visit.
