Slowing down is on the agenda at the alpine hut which was built in the 90s. Classic alpine farming with milk processing has always been part of life at this hut. The quaint charm of the hut with sunburnt facade has been maintained during the renovation and the interior has been lovingly brought up to date. The bathroom is to modern standard and the kitchen offers all amenities the old farmers would have loved. The old wood-fired stove, which can also be used for cooking and baking, is in the cosy living room. This is the heart of the hut where today you dine together, play together and entertain together just like in the olden days.
Timber dominates the bedrooms: floors, walls, beds – the natural material promotes a healthy sleep and radiates a comfortable atmosphere.
The solitary location of this hut is hard to beat. A view across the meadows to the forests and the massive mountains can be enjoyed in summer. Foxes, hares and deer are visitors which can be watched from the garden with comfortable seating at dusk. A family friendly hiking tour leads in 1.5 hours to the Kogelwald forest. Extensive tours across the Überling to the famous Lake Prebersee are waiting for experienced mountaineers.
The surrounding area of the hut is a real paradise for ski tourers and snowshoe hikers in winter. There is nothing better than starting from the hut’s front door early in the morning to see the sun rise above the mountains. The snow crunches beneath the skins on the downhill run and the freshly brewed morning coffee is waiting on your return.
