Your hut holiday in the "coolest" region of the Alps

Welcome to Hinterglemm ... Saalbach Hinterglemm. You may be familiar with the region from advertisements and the media. The region boasts over 400 km of hiking trails and, together with Leogang and Fieberbrunn, is proud to be the most extensive and largest biking area.

But Hinterglemm has also a different side

Just a stone's throw away from lively village centres, mountain railways and adventure playgrounds, it can also be quiet, relaxed and tranquil.
Your alpine hut is located at the very end of the valley, between lush alpine meadows, dense forests and mountain peaks.
Anita, the owner, gives you a warm welcome in front of an impressive panoramic view. She will explain your holiday home to you and knows the best insider tips for "mushroom hunters".
By the way: Anita is a top chef! She spoils her guests with traditional Pinzgau Kasnockn (cheese dumplings) and a variety of tasty treats. You shouldn't even miss out on the alpine breakfast. Only local and home-made food is served here.
If a day of rest is announced, Almliesl guests can also order their food in advance, e.g. a goulash pot.

The serviced hut is easily recognisable from a distance

  • Solid wooden beams and thick stone walls characterise the typical regional hut look.
  • You enter your holiday home through the "Vorhütte", which already impresses with cosy parlours and an open fireplace. A great place for cosy get-togethers and making new friends. Groups of friends and families can relax by the tiled stove in the lounge with seating areas and flat-screen TV.
  • On the 1st floor is your private realm with your own lounge.
  • The bathroom with shower on the ground floor is reserved for you. The toilets are generally accessible.

A good night’s sleep is guaranteed under the heavy roof beams on the first floor

The wonderful fragrance of the timber, the healthy mountain air and the extensive excursions into nature naturally contribute to a good night’s sleep. The different sleeping arrangements are best allocated by tossing a coin, with the popular double room usually reserved for the grown-ups.
In the morning, enjoy a cup of fresh coffee on the terrace bench before setting off on a family-friendly hiking tour to the wild and romantic Hochtorsee lake (approx. 2 hours). If you are brave enough to climb the Tristkogel (2 hours), you should be sure-footed and have a head for heights. An artistic metal summit cross and one of the most beautiful photo panoramas await you once you reach your destination. For culinary treats, Anita recommends the neighbouring Ossmannalm. It is only about 15 minutes away from your hut and the host offers a down-to-earth alpine breakfast or relaxed barbecue evenings.

Tip: The Lindlingalm is only 2 kilometres away from your hut and offers plenty of action for everyone, including a high ropes course, tree-top trail and the Teufelswasser (Devil's Water) aqua and adventure trail. You can also buy regional food at the Almladl shop next door.
