Holiday on the sunny side of Saalbach
A mountain holiday with a certain something offers this new alpine chalet at the Westgipfel, the local mountain of Saalbach and perfect starting point for extensive mountain activities in summer and in winter. Situated in an absolute quiet dream location, this modern chalet is is about 5 minutes walk below the intermediate terminus of the Westgipfel gondola lift in the heart of the Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski and Hiking Circus. Experienced skiers take the diversion through firs and spruces directly to the chalet as a dare.
Mountain bikers and downhillers find here one of the valley’s most beautiful single trails, the Hacklberg Trail. The trail leads from the Schattberg in Saalbach via the Westgipfel to Hinterglemm and is famous beyond Austria’s borders.
Good to have the "Joker card" included. It's your ticket for a lot of action in the mountains.
Some years ago, a comfortable and high-quality floor, featuring plenty of wood from local forests, was added to this charming chalet. Here you enjoy luxurious “hut-feeling“ with every comfort! The creaky floors add to the romantic atmosphere and the Danish stove in the living area radiates cosy warmth when ending exciting days in nature with a sociable get-together. The dormitory on the first floor lets children’s hearts beat faster and is another highlight besides the top-modern panorama sauna of this house.
Romantic moments can be experienced when enjoying steaming hot coffee on the spacious terrace in front of the hut while watching the rising mist slowly releasing the surrounding mountain peaks of the Glemmtal Valley.
Cattle happily crazes on the alpine pasture in summer. The cowshed adjacent to the hut accommodates the cattle and the farmer comes every day to milk and feed the cows. It is possible that you can hear the milking machines - but this is also a sign that fresh milk is waiting. The owner has another small hut just above this holiday home. Romantics will feel especially happy here. This hut can also be booked through Almliesl.
Tip: Europe’s highest-situated treetop hiking trail is located at the head of the valley of Saalbach-Hinterglemm. In combination with the “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps“, this is a unique experience - in summer and in winter.
