Holiday in the Villa Villekulla
This charming alpine hut is really full of surprises. The owners put two very old granary storage houses from 1703 on top of the newly-built basement. The two sun-darkened old wooden huts have been put together and have been lovingly renovated in a modern style. The exterior makes you smile – you surely won’t find such an extraordinary holiday domicile anywhere else!
The design combines all facets from quaint hut character to today’s modern elements; from stone floors, wooden floorboards, old masonry and trendy kitchen with cosy seating area to new bathrooms, romantic bedrooms and an old wine cellar.
The spacious terrace is furnished and equipped with a BBQ. The view to the surrounding mountains is exceptional. The Auhäusl is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and only a few neighbours live nearby.
The range of leisure facilities in the heart of the National Park region is endless. Hiking and mountain bike tours start directly at the front door. Take binoculars with you; here you can watch protected golden eagles, griffon vultures and bearded vultures. An unforgettable experience!
The small but beautiful Rauris ski resort is only 5 minutes away and is an insider tip among the locals. Thanks to the altitude, the snow reliability is higher here than in the surrounding, large ski resorts of the region. The ski resort is known for its affordability especially for families and is also interesting for fun sports fans and ski tourers due to its location in the high-alpine region. And cross-country ski enthusiasts will find the most beautiful cross-country ski track of the Rauris Valley directly at the hut’s front door.
Tip: Visit the Rauris Primeval Forest in Kolm Saigurn. Century-old spruce trees, dark ponds and romantic clearings: Excursions with National Park Rangers trough the Rauris Primeval Forest are offered in summer.
