Hut holiday with time travel An original in the idyllic Rauris Valley
This museum-worthy alpine hut is a genuine original from the 16th century and is located in the Bucheben district in the Rauris National Park area. Quaint and secluded, with marvellous mountain views and plenty of fresh mountain air, sun from morning to night.

The hut has been lovingly maintained by the landlord with a great deal of effort. Proof of this are the many collector's items (butter centrifuge, butter churn, cheese press, ...) from earlier times, which are on display in the hut. The dark wood panelling of the rooms is blackened with smoke from the rustic fireplace.

The cosy "Kuhstall-Stüberl" or the parlour, where cooking also takes place, invite you to enjoy a cosy get-together in the evening. Just like in the old days, food is cooled and kept fresh in the original earth cellar. This hut holiday is like a journey back in time and yet you don't have to do without a certain 21st century luxury:

In front of the hut there is a well with drinking water, a barbecue area and several seating areas. Here you can enjoy the marvellous panorama of the surrounding mountains - such as the Schafkopf, Edlenkopf, Ritterkopf or the Schareck.
It's not just the hut that transports you back in time, the Rauris primeval forest and the traces of the gold panners also help you forget the stress and hectic pace of everyday life in our century.
Our tip: The place is a voyage of discovery, especially for children. There is plenty of space to explore and play around the fenced-in site.
