Farm holiday in the Hohe Tauern National Park
This old farmhouse is located at the beautiful Felbertauern Panorama Road, linking East Tyrol with the Pinzgau. Mittersill has become known as the capital of the national park. The famous exhibition centres of the nature park worlds are also located here.
This holiday home has been lovingly renovated in the meantime. Old farmhouse furniture has been skilfully renovated with modern elements. A real eyecatcher are the many hand painted pieces of wooden furniture which bring a nostalgic flair to the farmhouse. The cosy living room is decorated with many farm accessories, the kitchen is traditional and down-to-earth. Bathroom and toilet are top modern. Countless books, DVDs and games for reading and playing in the lounge are also provided in the house. There is a small sandpit and swings in the garden.
The farmhouse also scores with its fantastic location and proximity to many excursion destinations like the educational trail about bees and the Hollersbach Herb Garden, the national park centre, Mittersill Castle, … The accommodation is starting point for all kinds of hiking and cycle tours. It comes as no surprise that the Hiking World Cup is staged in this natural region every year. Variety and diversity – combined with the unmatched, intact nature of the national park!
But the region in the heart of the Hohe Tauern also holds many other treasures in winter. The ski resort is reached in just a few minutes by car. It also takes a few minutes‘ drive to reach the Hollersbach Panoramabahn (intermediate terminus) at the Thurn Pass, providing a link to the famous Kitzbühel ski resort. Ski tours and snowshoe hiking tours can be started directly at the front door. This is a true paradise for cross-country skiers. There is an ice climbing facility in Uttendorf at the Weißsee Glacier ski resort.
Tip: Visit to the Mittersill National Park Centre, the largest and most modern national park exhibition centre. An experience for everyone.
