Ideally situated near the border with Germany, a highlight of the region is the former farming village of Breitenbach am Inn.

Favoured by the sun, this community shows a great sense of beauty and enjoyment.  

The best example of this is this wonderful farm typical of the region. This holiday home with active cattle farming is a gem of a bygone era that now shines in new splendour. The owners have rolled up their sleeves and renovated the old building with great skill and attention to detail. Elaborately designed balconies, ornaments on the gables, artistically painted farmhouse boxes and many other highlights convey the genuineness and authenticity of this special holiday home. 

You and your loved ones can enjoy the space of the farmhouse all by yourselves. 

Even so, your hosts are in the immediate vicinity, manage the farm and make sure that you feel completely at home. Attached to your holiday home, with a separate entrance, are the owners' living quarters and the stable building. Children always feel particularly at home on the farm. The owners’ young daughters love to share their playground and look forward to new playmates.

You will receive this card from the owner’s wife upon arrival. Take advantage of the many free of charge or discounted admissions to lidos, museums, or mountain tours. The "Tiroler Bauernhöfe" (Tyrolean Farms) open-air museum is definitely worth a visit.

In summer, the most beautiful hiking and bike tours start right from the front door. Be sure to plan a trip to the farm's own Ascheralm with a summit cross experience (approx. 1.5-hour hike). The Buchackeralm is also popular and can be reached in about 2.5 hours. These hiking tours are classified as rather demanding.   
You can organise a cosy time-out for the family at Lake Berglstein. It is a true pearl of nature, hidden between the forests, an insider tip, and a top photo motif. No matter what time of year, the lake delights with its play of colours and mystical flair, and you can relax wonderfully on the shore.

From pearl of nature to skiing gem

Winter rocks in the well-known Alpbachtal "Ski Juwel Albbachtal Wildschönau" ski resort with around 113 kilometres of pistes. This skiing gem is one of the largest skiing resorts in Tyrol. Small but beautiful is the "Skiwelt Itter" family ski resort with a range of pistes for leisure skiers. The ski bus stops just 200 m away and takes you right to fun in the snow without any stress. But snow angels, nature lovers and those who enjoy time out will find true winter delights also off piste. Cross-country skiing fans can access the region's extensive network of tracks just 50 m from the farm. Tobogganing, snowshoeing, going on a ski tour or enjoying the romantic side of winter in a horse-drawn carriage provide well-deserved relaxation.
Don't miss out on the region’s special cultural highlights during the winter season. St. Nicholas, Perchten, idyllic Christmas markets. Especially in Breitenbach am Inn, where doors and gates are still opened to the "Peachtln" on 05 December now just as it has been done for hundreds of years.
