Join us and discover the true wealth of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here in Bramberg in SalzburgerLand, the authentic village centre that could have sprung from the set of a sentimental film is already a feast for the eyes. But the real gems have their origins in the Habachtal valley, which is one of the region’s side valleys that attracts attention because of its emerald findings. 

However, the natural treasures are the ones that, apart from the deposits of special minerals, receive special attention in this region. Surrounded by snow-covered 3,000-metre-high peaks, this typical mountain hut is located directly on the Wildkogel. The Smaragdbahn cable car takes you uphill to the lofty heights of the Wildkogel Arena, where adventure, action and authentic mountain experiences are waiting for you.

Your holiday hut with unbeatable panoramic views far into the valley is around 40 hiking minutes away from the upper terminus. 

The façade appears solid. A lot of wood, which has withstood the seasons in the mountains over many years, has been used here. The traditional construction with countless shingles, heavy beams and square timbers has been preserved during the last renovation. The owners of the hut have placed great emphasis on incorporating the original elements into the renovation work.  

Thus, a holiday location that reflects the "real" life on an alpine pasture and offers modern-day comforts has been created for Almliesl guests.

The real highlights of the quaint hut are:

The new gallery required a lot of handcrafting by the master carpenter. Solid-wood bedrooms in a quaint and cosy style were built here - a good night’s sleep is guaranteed. Children will have "a real ball" in the high-quality dormitory.

Around the upper terminus is the Wildkogel Arena, which offers an extra portion of adventure for adults and children. The panorama and slide trail as well as the mountain cart track are among the main attractions. For all those who want to take it a little easier: hiking and biking tours start directly from the door of the hut, e.g., to the "Frühmesser" or "Pfeiferköpfl" peaks. For a real summit experience, go for the ascent to the Grosse Rettenstein.

Family-friendly hiking tours to the "Frühmesser" and "Pfeiferköpfl" peaks start from the hut - walking time approx. 1.5 h. If you are physically fit, you could also go for the ascent to the Grosse Rettenstein.

Visiting the authentic village centre, which is also known for the Wollstadl and the Bramberg Museum with its show apiary, is a must.
