Under the motto **"Respect the Dolomites,"** the villages of Val Gardena are raising awareness among residents and visitors about **sustainability and environmental protection**. Events and initiatives focusing on **mindfulness in the mountains**, mobility, energy, alpine pasture management and waste management are showing respect for the Dolomites. The 25-kilometer-long side valley is characterized by the Puez Geisler Nature Park and the mighty mountain giants with their picturesque alpine pastures. UNESCO has designated the Dolomites a World Heritage Site. Against this backdrop, guests can enjoy wonderful trails, sweeping panoramas, biking and trekking tours.

The Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi ski area is part of Dolomiti Superski. Twelve ski areas in the Dolomites have joined forces to create this network. The longest slope in South Tyrol, "La Longia" in Val Gardena, is over 10.5 km long and makes the hearts of skiers and snowboarders beat faster. Another unforgettable experience is the Sellaronda ski carousel with its circular route on skis around the Sella massif.
