Arrival: No direct access to the hut. The car can be parked at the courtyard of the owner during the stay. Transport to and from the hut by arrival and departure through the owner is included, more are possible for extra charge.

“I am off“ – hut holiday and pristine nature!
Surrounded by the impressive mountain landscape of the Radstadt Tauern, this wonderful alpine hut is situated in the Nature Park municipality of Zederhaus. Located right in the middle of the sunny south of SalzburgerLand, you will find a real place of energy here. Hut life couldn’t be any more “authentic“ than here.
The way to the hut, past peacefully grazing cattle, through forests and finally downhill to your accommodation, gives already reason for pure holiday joy. The small wooden hut, built in log cabin style in 1987, welcomes the Almliesl guests and offers quite some special features for a real holiday close to nature.
Mountain fans, nature lovers- this is the right place for you!
True to the motto “I am off“, you experience pristine nature here.
This romantic alpine hut is located in absolute seclusion and is fenced, so the cows and calves stay on the pasture and don’t turn up at the kitchen window, hoping for some treats.
Your outdoor bathroom is really worth being mentioned:
- The solar shower between the trees provides pure feeling of freedom
- Including personal panoramic cinema
- You are absolutely alone here – so, don’t be shy ;)
- There is also an adventure factor to the earth closet in modern style.
Your holiday on an alpine pasture – today as in the past
Running water is not a given at a mountain hut. Nowadays much effort is invested in bringing comfort to the mountains; but here - at this alpine hut – you only experience the original:
- You get the water of drinking water quality from the well basin.
- You cook on a quaint wood-fired stove, which is also used for heating.
- The “earth cellar“ keeps food fresh.
By the way: The small, creaky old hut next door is a real museum piece with a century-old history. Hard to believe that the old farmer couple and the alpine herdsmen used to live there, often in very difficult conditions and without comfort. A little tip: Speak to the hut’s owner about the times back then. The stories will make you think.
Almliesl hiking tip: Hiking tour to the Schareck summit cross, approx. 2-3 hours from your hut. A wonderful tour for picking wild mushrooms and blueberries (blackberries).
