This hut is situated in the Salzburger Lungau, the most southern region of the Salzburger Land. Surrounded by colourful alpine meadows, forest and high mountain peaks, away from stress and hectic.
The hut was built around 1850 and was used purely for alpine farming until recently. Now, this quaint holiday hut has been renovated. The alpine hut character has been preserved intentionally. There is no electricity here; solar panels generate electricity for the lights, the wood burner in the rustic living room is used for cooking. The facade as well as most of the furniture is made from native wood. Some of the interior doors are century-old individual pieces. The sauna cabin in the garden is the absolute highlight here.
Pack your rucksack in the morning and off you go to conquer the summit or just sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. Here you can feel, smell, taste and hear holiday. Beautiful yellow boletuses grow in the adjacent forest, a crystal-clear mountain lake is only 6 km away (Lake Prebersee). Serviced huts reward you with local specialities after a hiking tour.
