The guests must contact the landlady Anita before arrival so that they can arrange the handover of the barrier key. Parking on the Lindlingalm is free for our guests. From here, Anita will help you with the luggage transport. She will also be happy to take you to the hut or you can undertake the family-friendly hike of around 30 minutes on your own.
Welcome to Hinterglemm ... Saalbach Hinterglemm. You may be familiar with the region from advertisements and the media. The region boasts over 400 km of hiking trails and, together with Leogang and Fieberbrunn, is proud to be the most extensive and largest biking area.
But Hinterglemm has also a different side
Just a stone's throw away from lively village centres, mountain railways and adventure playgrounds, it can also be quiet, relaxed and tranquil.
Your alpine hut is located at the very end of the valley, between lush alpine meadows, dense forests and mountain peaks.
You will meet Anita, the owner, already in the valley. She explains your holiday home to you and knows the best insider tips for ‘mushroomers’.
By the way: Anita is a top chef - she will be happy to show you how to prepare the traditional Pinzgau Kasnockn in the mountains. She will come to the hut and let you look over her shoulder if requested.
The formerly serviced hut is easily spotted from afar
Massive wooden beams & thick stone walls characterise the hut’s appearance typical for this region. The panoramic view of the Glemmtal valley from the spacious terrace is unbeatable.
You enter your holiday home through the "Vorhütte" (reception area), which already convinces with cosy public rooms and an open fireplace (please don't heat it up).
The kitchen is a highlight for all those who have always wanted to prove their skills in a fully equipped professional kitchen. It's quite possible that as yet underestimated Toque chefs will find their hidden passion here.
The centre of the hut is the quaint public room with a modern touch. Groups of friends and families relax by the tiled stove in the lounge with sitting areas and flat screen TV.
A good night’s sleep is guaranteed under the heavy roof beams on the first floor
The wonderful fragrance of the timber, the healthy mountain air and the extensive excursions into nature naturally contribute to a good night’s sleep. The different sleeping arrangements are best allocated by tossing a coin, with the popular double room usually reserved for the grown-ups.
In the morning, enjoy a cup of fresh coffee on the terrace bench before setting off on a family-friendly hiking tour to the wild and romantic Hochtorsee lake (approx. 2 hours). If you are brave enough to climb the Tristkogel (2 hours), you should be sure-footed and have a head for heights. An artistic metal summit cross and one of the most beautiful photo panoramas await you once you reach your destination. For culinary treats, Anita recommends the neighbouring Ossmannalm. It is only about 15 minutes away from your hut and the host offers a down-to-earth alpine breakfast or relaxed barbecue evenings.
Tip: The Lindlingalm is only 2 kilometres away from your hut and offers plenty of action for everyone, including a high ropes course, tree-top trail and the Teufelswasser (Devil's Water) aqua and adventure trail. You can also buy regional food at the Almladl shop next door.
