The hut is already 300 years old. The holiday hut was originally located in Tyrol. It was carefully dismantled and then rebuilt in Saalbach. The historic heritage, and therefore the history, personality and architecture of the hut have been preserved. The hut features all characteristics of a quaint, authentic alpine hut. From the wide range of types of timber, dark wooden beams, low door frames, wooden floors, old masonry, typical wood-fired stoves, quaint seating area, creaking stairs to cosy, traditional bedrooms. Typical accessories of bygone times decorate the walls and remind of the mountain farmers’ life in the olden days. The tiled stove in the anteroom and the wood-fired stove in the kitchen provide a crackling, romantic atmosphere in the evening.
You are the first carving your turns in the freshly groomed piste in winter. You only have to choose in which ski resort - Saalbach/Hinterglemm, Leogang or in Fieberbrunn. In summer, there is a wide range of sporty activities - many hiking and bike trails start in the vicinity of the hut.
Tip: Europe‘s highest-situated treetop hiking trail is located in the head of the valley of Saalbach-Hinterglemm. In combination with the “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps“, this is a unique experience - in summer and in winter.
