Bienvenue dans les Vosges
Almliesl set off to find out what is beyond the borders and discovered a real pearl of nature!
The Vosges massif, the treasure in the east of France
Vast, idyllic landscapes between vineyards, fortresses and castles - this is what summer visitors can look forward to in and around Alsace, close to the borders with Germany and Switzerland. A little more rugged and pristine, but similar to the Black Forest - that's how the region is often described. A true paradise for motor bikers or car drivers who love curvy routes. Mountain bikers, road bikers and hikers will find their El Dorado here. Around 20,000 km of marked hiking trails make the French low mountain range a TOP hiking destination.
Your cosy country house in the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park
Dagmar and Otto are the German-speaking owners of this beautiful holiday home. The style is typical for the region, ground-level and charmingly furnished. There is a gallery on the upper floor that serves as a sleeping area. Children love this dormitory and like to have their pyjama parties here. The adults find their peace in the light-flooded bedroom with direct access to the terrace. From here, the spacious garden overwhelms with endless views of meadows and forests. It is not unusual to see wildlife here. Deer, stags and even lynxes have their home here. The park's biodiversity prompted UNESCO to make it a "World Biosphere Reserve". 3 lakes are in the immediate vicinity. Fishing, a romantic picnic and splashing around - it doesn't get any better than this!
Dagmar and Otto's farm is in the immediate vicinity. They welcome you warmly, have the best tips and know the most beautiful places for your holiday. The nearest village is about 6 kilometres away.
Winter holiday between idyll and fun on the pistes
Winter sports are very popular in the Vosges!
There is an extensive cross-country skiing network right on your doorstep. If you wish, you can hire snowshoe hiking equipment from the owners and explore the snow-covered winter wonderland in complete peace and quiet.
But that's not all!
You will find optimal winter sports conditions here. The nearest large ski resort is La Bresse Haute-Vosges - a top ski resort with 34 kilometres of pistes and everything a skier and boarder's heart desires. At the end of the day, the sauna hut awaits with pure relaxation!
Tip: Many farms in the region treat excursion guests to regional specialities. Munster cheese, honey and tender smoked meat are among the delicacies.
