True values at the Rauriser Almhof

The pasture regions in the Rauris Valley, in the heart of the Upper Tauern National Park, are the epitome of a sense of home, authenticity and an awareness of nature. Traditional agriculture, authentic mountain farming and true jewels of nature all combine in a small area. Guests in the Rauris Valley are overwhelmed by the unspoilt nature and hospitality that they experience here.

Holiday impressions that will last – we promise!

You’ll spend your holiday in the newly renovated Almhof, surrounded by the green of lush mountain pastures and pine forests. In a sunny location at the end of the flower hiking trail, you’ll discover home-made delicacies together with priceless mountain idylls.

In this special holiday home, you can choose your accommodation category and also have the opportunity to book your unique alpine breakfast with wonderful farm products.

  • High-quality eating and living area
  • Cosy bedrooms with solid wood furniture and parquet floors
  • Farm shop with home-made delicacies and an organic pharmacy

Start your hikes and mountain bike tours directly on the doorstep. Your hosts have the best tips and know the best places to enjoy the views and take photos.

Rauris is home to genuine jewels of nature in summer

That’s right. You won’t find any jewels or diamonds here but instead genuine golden treasures. In bygone days, Rauris was a lucrative place for gold prospectors. Today, people still prospect for gold in the cold mountain streams and find small nuggets and gold dust. Above all, it’s an authentic experience and a wonderful way to cool down on hot summer days. The National Park valley is home to a wealth of natural beauties such as the Rauris Primeval Forest or the Valley of Springs.

Skiing, cross-country skiing & ski touring – Rauris is THE insider tip from locals

As well as the “big” ski regions in the area (e.g. the Zell am See Kaprun glacier ski region or the Skischaukel Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn), Rauris is an insider tip for hobby skiers.

Find time to recharge your batteries and relax! See you soon in the mountains.

Tip: One of the top events in Rauris is the annual stallion drive. An extra-special spectacle and experience. Magnificent horses engage in fighting on the pasture to secure their position in the herd. This tradition is known throughout the country and takes place in June.
