Rauris is home to genuine jewels of nature in summer
That’s right. You won’t find any jewels or diamonds here but instead genuine golden treasures. In bygone days, Rauris was a lucrative place for gold prospectors. Today, people still prospect for gold in the cold mountain streams and find small nuggets and gold dust. Above all, it’s an authentic experience and a wonderful way to cool down on hot summer days. The National Park valley is home to a wealth of natural beauties such as the Rauris Primeval Forest or the Valley of Springs.
Skiing, cross-country skiing & ski touring – Rauris is THE insider tip from locals
As well as the “big” ski regions in the area (e.g. the Zell am See Kaprun glacier ski region or the Skischaukel Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn), Rauris is an insider tip for hobby skiers.
Find time to recharge your batteries and relax! See you soon in the mountains.
Tip: One of the top events in Rauris is the annual stallion drive. An extra-special spectacle and experience. Magnificent horses engage in fighting on the pasture to secure their position in the herd. This tradition is known throughout the country and takes place in June.
