Hut flair in the valley at the Kitzsteinhorn
It is not necessary to travel to dizzy heights to spend a holiday in a quaint hut. Our tip: A hut in the valley surrounded by a village idyll, in the comfort of a holiday home with every characteristic of a traditional mountain hut.
Dark, sunburnt wood, old masonry and creaking floors are the foundations of this 300-year-old house. However, the facilities have constantly been renovated and modernised. The back part of the house was built in Summer 2011 and boasts new bathrooms and a cosy sauna. Individual elements like wooden stairs, low doorframes or old wooden walls in the bedrooms have been preserved as witnesses of the past. The kitchen and the living room are in a modern style and invite to cosy get-togethers for DVD or games evenings.
The small garden invites to BBQs in summer. Biking and hiking routes start directly at the front door. The bus stop is just 200 m away, thus there is no need to use the car for a few days. The TauernSpa is recommended on rainy days. The kids will love it.
It doesn’t matter whether the snow situation in Kaprun is good or bad in winter; the glacier of the Kitzsteinhorn guarantees fun in the snow anytime. Action in the valley is a great alternative to mountain sports. Snow kiting at Lake Zell or real toboggan fun on the longest and illuminated toboggan run in Bramberg are great tips.

From paragliding to snow tubing, hiking tours and excursions on horseback, everything can be tried here.
