Your natural experience between the Upper Tauern and the scent of stone pine
The Carinthia region stands for the lightness of life. The south is known to attract people to these holiday regions with increasing hours of sunshine and gentle landscape contours. Yet the sense of lightness is also apparent in the high border region with Salzburg and East Tyrol. In the heart of the Upper Tauern National Park, Carinthia shows its wild side at the foot of the powerful Großglockner. Nature has performed fantastic work with its lightness: gorges, waterfalls, crystal-clear mountain lakes and impressive pasture and summit landscapes.
Almliesl has found your holiday chalet in this protected natural idyll
From this pasture, you’ll enjoy an incomparably beautiful view of the Asten Valley with the Goldberg Group. Your chalet is a real gem and was recently rebuilt. A small alpine dairy is run from the property, and the friendly dairy maid has the best insider biking and hiking tips. She’s a true local and will spoil you and other hiking guests with home-made delicacies after some wonderful tours.
These are the highlights of your holiday chalet:
- Surrounded by fragrant stone pine forests
- Generous kitchen with a cosy seating area and a typical wood oven
- Light wood dominates the chalet
- Solid wood beds, some with artistic decorations
A holiday to “switch off”
“Switching off” can be taken literally here. This is a chalet where you really can take some time out, as you can easily go without electricity here. There is, of course, enough electricity for light and your mobile phone but the aim is to clear your head from the daily routine. Do without your computer, television etc. for a while – it will really do you good!
What could be nicer than barbecuing on the terrace after an active day in nature and looking at the starry sky while enjoying a glass of wine. It’s “truly real!”.
Tip: A hike for young and old: the family panoramic trail to the Winklerner hut.
