A farmhouse for time together
The farmhouse was built in 1938 and is situated in a secluded location on a sunny plateau at the Thurn Pass just as few kilometres outside the small town of Mittersill. As the house is so spacious, it is perfect for a holiday with friends or the family.
The owners completely renovated and extended the house in 2008. The entire building is dominated by old wooden beams – this alone is a holiday experience! A visit to the small wellness area with sauna and infrared cabin offers relaxation after an eventful day. A “Grüß Gott“ as warm welcome and a homemade schnapps on your arrival are a good start to your holiday. A bread roll service is available apart from Sundays and bank holidays. Information about excursion destinations to plan your holidays is also available. Washing-up liquid and toilet paper for the first few days are provided. A warm, heated holiday home awaits you in winter. A small tobogganing hill for fun in the snow is waiting for children just a few steps away.
The Thurn Pass, 1,273 m above sea level, is an alpine pass in the Kitzbühel Alps and is a popular road connecting Tyrol and the Salzburgerland. This vast pass landscape offers unlimited possibilities for activities. West of the pass is the Resterhöhe. Together with the “Kleine Rettenstein“ and the “Große Rettenstein“, it is one of the special hiking destinations in Tyrol. The Kitzbühel Alps ski paradise beckons in winter. The Kitzbühel Alps panorama lift takes you from the lower terminus in Hollersbach uphill directly to the Resterkogel upper terminus. The Kitzbühel ski resort boasts 170 km of well-groomed pistes, the Hanglalm Snow Park, many off-piste routes, quaint huts and beautiful restaurants.
Our tip: A hiking tour to the owner’s alpine pasture - "Baumgartenalm“ – with show dairy is a must on your holiday.
