The picture-postcard alpine hut is situated in the middle of the Hochkönig region, with a view of the Steinerne Meer all the way to Saalfelden and the prominent Pinzgau grass mountains.
Very cosy and comfortable, it fulfils all expectations of an alpine hut. The approach on the well gravelled road is not too steep, and the desire for the mountain experiences ahead increases with every turn. This beautiful alpine home is surrounded by other quaint alpine huts (MARI-271 – can also be booked via Almiesl). Some of them are serviced and beckon with wonderful alpine hut delicacies.

From the start, the appearance of the Maria Alm alpine hut is very well-kept, giving the impression that it is well looked after, and it is apparent that the owner has an eye for detail. The open barbecue with pole frame and freely hanging barbecue grill catches the eye even before the spacious garden, freshly mown and with its own herb bed for the guests, can be admired. Wood and charcoal are available for firing up the barbecue, and the starry summer evening turns into an unforgettable experience.
