Holidays with friends - in the middle of the Alpine region
The chalet in Maishofen, located idyllically between farms and vast fields, is a typical Austrian-style country house. It has a traditional organic timber structure and is situated in the heart of the alpine region between Zell am See - Kaprun and Saalfelden. The capital of the Pinzgau District is only 5 km away and awaits with the crystal-clear Lake Zell (drinking water quality), which is perfect for ice hiking tours in winter. In summer, swimming fun is a delight in the partly free of charge swimming areas around the lake.
The ski resorts Saalbach Hinterglemm, Zell am See - Kaprun and the Hochkönig Ski amadé ski resort beckon with great offers for families and are only around 5 km away.
Just like home: You will feel at home the minute you step in the chalet. The heart of the house is a large living room with a beautiful dining table and an inviting seating ensemble. The kitchen has only been fitted recently and leaves nothing to be desired. 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms as well as a dormitory - not only for kids - offer plenty of space for a holiday in a larger group.
Located in a rural area, the garden and the terrace offer tranquillity during leisurely BBQ afternoons and a splendid vista to the main ridge of the Alps. The owners have built a wooden hut for the children to play, slide and climb.
Our tip: Excursions up to the Grossglockner. Experience the high alpine world with its various vegetation zones and the impressive Grossglockner High Alpine Road. By the way: The locals call the marmots “Manggei“. These giant hamsters are the masters of the Grossglockner.
