The location alone is a promise of luxury. The overwhelming panorama in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park sets the scene for a unique landscape at the base of the Grossglockner.
The accommodation presents itself authentic and natural with a great amount of natural fir timber, wooden ceilings and glass. It almost seems as if nature has moved indoors. The spacious living area accommodates an original East Tyrolean back stove, which invites to cosy get-togethers on colder days. Above the stove, you could even have an after-lunchtime nap. The owners have furnished every bedroom with bedside tables made from Swiss pine wood. Swiss pine wood has a very pleasant, soothing fragrance. It contains essential oils which have anti-bacterial, circulation-relieving and calming properties. Luxury for body and mind can be experienced in the bathroom. A sensory shower with music, steam bath, whirlpool and an infrared cabin ensure deep relaxation. The stylish terrace or the large balcony complement the paradise feeling on your holiday.
As the owner lives also in the house, you can expect a welcoming and family atmosphere on your holiday. A small, quaint farmer‘ shop and a supermarket in the village are open all year. There you can buy small regional treats as well as food.
If you prefer more physical activities, then there is skiing, tobogganing, ski gymnastics, cross-country skiing, ice climbing or snowshoe hiking. In summer, opt for a Glockner hiking tour with climbing garden or a hiking tour to the vast Kals-Matrei region.
Tip: The Gamsalm restaurant is in close proximity and enjoys cult status among the guests as well as the locals. The Gamsalm is known for traditional and down to earth cuisine.
