The Bauerndörfl (farming village) with the two blockhouses is located above the valley and is situated a bit secluded between the village centres of Großarl and Hüttschlag. Lush green meadows, crystal-clear brooks, fresh air and endless freedom, nature and tranquillity surround the Dörfl. Families feel especially welcome here because the range of activities and experiences provided by the owners is diverse and expansive.
The Bauerndörfl Rindereben comprises of a 300-year old farmhouse and two organic blockhouses, containing a total of 5 holiday flats. The individual parts of the house are separated at the gable ends and each has its own entrance, terrace or balcony. The view to the peaks of the Hohe Tauern, to the waterfalls and the Großarltal Valley captures you as soon as you arrive. Sound carpenter’s work and solid wood furniture radiate a homely feeling and cosiness. High-quality kitchens and stylish bathrooms ensure that you feel at home.
The proprietor is delighted to show you life in the countryside in summer: Haymaking, cows, calves, ponies, cats and sheep are waiting for the children. The water oasis and the new kids adventure trail of the facility provide fun and refreshment on hot summer days. A new sauna in the main building is available for cosy evenings or on rainy days.
Winter fun guarantees the Großarltal-Dorfgastein ski resort. The access point to Austria’s largest “Ski amadé“ ski region is reached within a 10 minutes‘ drive or by ski bus. The proprietor is a qualified ski and Pilates instructor – he is always happy to help and advice. The Großarltal Valley also has plenty to offer away from the piste. The new winter toboggan run complements the programme. A winter’s eve is best ended with a hiking tour by lantern light and some hot mulled wine and a winter BBQ at the Schneebar (snow bar).

- Hiking tour by lantern light with mulled wine and winter BBQ
- Especially for children – a sledding hill! Toboggans available on site, depending on availability.
