The farmhouse is the heart of the farming village. The small village consists of 2 log cabins, the wooden house in which the owner family lives and the 300-year old farmhouse – your holiday residence. There is also a small stables next door. The farming village has a wild and romantic location, somewhat off the beaten track and above the two centres of Hüttschlag and Großarl.
You can enjoy the originality of the very old farmhouse. Dark brown wooden beams dominate the house from the outside. Many bright flowers in front of the house form a colourful contrast. The originality has been retained inside the house. A lot of attention was paid during the renovation work to ensuring that the charm of the past and “soul of the house” were preserved. There is a sauna in the main building and your holiday home has its own infrared cabin. The balcony offers direct views of the peaks of the Upper Tauern, waterfalls and the Großarl valley.
There is always plenty to keep children entertained in the farming village. The landlord enjoys showing his guests life in the country: hay harvesting, cows, calves, ponies, rabbits, cats and sheep await you. Other features such as a playground and water playground ensure that boredom is kept at bay.
In winter, you can reach the Großarl-Dorfgastein ski region in approximately 10 minutes by car. Großarl is part of the Ski Amade ski region! The best way to round off a winter evening is on a lantern hike followed by mulled wine and a winter barbecue at the snow bar.
Advent in the Salzburg mountains is celebrated in a particularly charming and tranquil manner. A festive carriage ride, along with pastoral games and the scent of home-made food, enable you to experience the “quietest time of the year” in the truest sense of the word.
Our tip: Children are particularly well cared for here: there are animals to gaze at, a water world of wonder and a playground.
Or how about western riding for children - 2.5 hours of grooming, saddling, cleaning and riding horses for EUR 15.00 per child and weather permitting.
Whether you want to slow down, relax, climb or fly - everyone will enjoy themselves in Hüttschlag.
