Almliesl NEUK-421 - General information

The Fleckl-Hochalm is situated in the middle of the Wildkogel Alm and hiking area, with a view of the Gossen Rettenstein. A few years ago the hut was almost completely burned to the ground and was then renovated by the owner. Thanks to this, you now have the opportunity of enjoying the comforts of a modern holiday home high up on a mountain. At an altitude of 1800 m above sea level, you are above the tree line and can enjoy a lovely view, thanks to its seclusion, of the surrounding peaks and Alms with cows grazing contentedly.

Tip: During the summer months the owner lives in the bottom part of the hut and tends the cows. Have a chat with him if you want to benefit from exclusive hiking tips.

Our Tip: You can learn a lot about life in the high mountains at the National Park Centre in Mittersill.

Access: 2 alternatives: Firstly, via Bramberg via a loose gravel track (not steep). Secondly, using the cable car and getting picked up by the hut owner.
