Almliesl MOER-497 - General information

The finest holiday feeling

The hut is a real picture book chalet. It all began with a simple barn in 1988. Then, the stone by stone conversion into the hut was carried out with much love and hard work in 2005. After many hours of dedication, a superior class “well-being chalet” was created. Thanks to the high quality furnishings and the combination of natural materials such as pinewood, the hut has a really welcoming atmosphere. In its construction, the owners have injected some of their own creative flair and in doing so have given the chalet some characteristic original details. The winter garden is wonderful for spending special time together in a relaxing atmosphere.

The hut is surrounded by woodland and lush meadows full of herbs; nature lovers have a sunny Eldorado to explore in the surrounding flora and fauna.

The region around Mörtschach offers impressive mountain scenery, well maintained hiking paths, the Hohe Tauern National Park, and an impressive range of sport and leisure activities. In summer and winter alike, numerous events tale place, suitable for the whole family.

The hut stands on a huge meadow, with the only building in the near vicinity being the Stockhäusl house. The buildings are separated from each other by a fence and trees.

Our tip: In the village centre, an old building has been renovated, the “Schmutzerhaus”, which houses an exhibition about the Hohe Tauern National Park, the “Park of 100 lakes”. There is a farmer’s craft shop selling wool as well as natural produce and craftwork.

Access: Take the Bundesstraße road right to the owner’s "Gut". From there, you will be accompanied by the owner for the approximately 1.5 km to the chalet.
