Holiday like 250 years ago! Original and special - that's what the typical and rustic furnishing is like, and it guarantees a special holiday in a special surrounding! The house is situated in the middle of a wonderful setting, directly at the "Felbertauern"-pass, only a few kilometers from the centre of Matrei in eastern tirol.
It is the perfect residence for people who are close to nature! You will sure find other things that you won't experience in other accomodations - for example: your breakfast-egg directly from the hen!
Winter or summer - beginner or professional! The heart of the region is the ski-area "Goldried", which is only 6 km away. Pistes of all severity, cosy mountain-huts and a 11 km long down-hill piste directly to the parking-area.
In the middle of the national park "Hohe Tauern" with more than 150 of 3.000 m high mountains and the two highest mountains of Austria - the Großglockner and the Großvenediger - directly infront of your house-door. Perfect for your hiking- and biking-holiday! A real alpine professional is the proprietor, who will give you the right advices for your tours and may even acompany you on one of your mountain-excursion!
After an eventful day, you can rest in front of the open fire, talk about your day and plans and maybe have a "Schnaps" to finish the evening.
Excursions into civilisation, to either Salzburger Land or Tirol are all within reach.
Parking-space in front of the house. Access road in the winter always free - good winter-tires or chains requiered!! During the winter: animals in the cot. Heating in the ground floor is with wood- and tiled stove. In the 1st floor e-heatings. In summer additional outhouse. Eggs directly from the hen (!)

(approx. 180 qm) for up to 18 persons
Ground-floor:
- large entrance-area with wardrobe
- kitchen with wood-stove and comfortable lounge
and access to a large pantry with an oven with 4 hot-plates,
oven and large refridgerator
- snuggery with a cosy corner and a loft-bed
(directly over the tiled stove)
- bedroom with double-bed (will be heated with
the tiled stove)
- Bathroom with bath and WC (water must be heated with wood)
First floor:
- 1 x 5-beded room (2x bunk bed, 1x single bed)
- 1 x 4-beded room
- 1 x 3-beded room
New since summer 2008
- Snuggery (living-sleeping-room) totaly in wood with galery
- Single bed, small sofa and DVD
- 3x sleeping places on matrasses
- Shower / WC (electric boiler)
Second floor (underneath the roof):
