The small town of Matrei is the most important resort in the Großglockner-Großvenediger national park. More than 150 mountains at a height of 3000 m and the highest mountains in Austria - Großglockner at 3798 m Großvenediger at 3674 m right at your doorstep!
Matrei is also the region´s cultural, sports and shopping center. Our town boasts a wealth
of sports facilities for young and old in both summer and winter. No matter if you want to
go hiking, mountain biking or mountaineering - Matrei is the perfect destination ... even if
