Almliesl MUEH-512 - General information

Uninterrupted views and country house style

The new Mountainlodge was opened in spring 2014 and rises grandly from the mountain slope in its panoramic setting.

The living spaces are modern, very spacious, and furnished throughout mainly with wood and high-quality wooden furniture. The living rooms and kitchens provide plenty of space for moving around, and the high ceiling height is emphasised by the cosy furnishings and the romantic fireplace with glass frontage, giving a sense of free space. The very wide panoramic balcony and the terrace give ideal places for lovely times sunbathing and stargazing.

The Mühlbachtal valley offers a variety of hiking opportunities. Don’t forget to take a bag with you for collecting berries and mushrooms.

The “Rettenstein” is one of the most distinctive mountains in the Kitzbühel Alps, and there is a cheese dairy on the “Baumgartenalm” that is well worth a visit.

Tip: A treasure hunt in the Habachtal valley. This unspoiled valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park is especially significant because of its emerald mine. The only source of emeralds in Europe to speak of is here in the Habachtal valley.

Habachtal emeralds can be seen in in the collections in the local museums in Bramberg and in the neighbouring communities (Neukirchen, Hollersbach or Mittersill).

Access: The Mountainlodge can be reached on a tarred, winding mountain road. The last kilometre is a gravel track.
